Refund & Withdrawal Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise and plans can change. To help applicants in making informed decisions — and for us to ensure dedicated faculty attention and maintain academic integrity within a restricted seat admission model — here is a clear breakdown of our fair, transparent Fee Refund & Withdrawal Policy.

Non-Refundable Fees

The Registration Fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable, under any circumstances.

Withdrawal Before the Course Commencement

If you choose to withdraw your admission after paying the full fee before classes begin, you are eligible for a refund of the Tuition Fee, less the Registration Fee.

To qualify for a refund, you must submit a written request at least 7 days prior to the course start date. However, your candidature remains valid for 12 months from the date of payment.

Withdrawal Within 7 Days before Commencement

Only 50% of the paid Tuition Fee will be refunded, as seats cannot be reallocated to other deserving applicants at such short notice.

Withdrawal After the Course Commencement

Once classes have commenced, no refunds (in part or in full) will be issued, regardless of the reason for withdrawal.

However, your candidature remains valid for 12 months from the date of payment. You may re-join the same IMI Editing Certificate Program in any future batch across India by providing prior intimation to the IMI Office and paying the balance course fees, if not already paid in full.

Seat Deferment / Transfer

Once the Registration Fee is paid, your admission remains valid for 12 months from the date of payment.

• During this period, you may re-join any future batch of the IMI Editing Certificate Program at any IMI Centre across India after paying the balance course fees, if not already paid in full.
• Upon written request, we will consider a deferment of your joining date or a location transfer, subject to seat availability.
• Your admission is strictly non-transferable to another candidate or to a different IMI Course.

Money Back on Cancellation of Batch

• The commencement date and timings of any batch may be rescheduled by the management due to circumstances beyond its control.
• In the event that IMI cancels a batch, the Registration Fee and the Tuition Fee paid by the candidate will be refunded in full.

Refund Processing

Whenever a refund is applicable and approved, the following conditions apply:

• Payment Method: Refunds will be processed via bank transfer only.
• Timeline: Please allow up to 21 working days from the date of approval for the refund to reflect in your bank account.
